There is a certain amount of responsibility in working from home. There is even more responsibility to choose to work in order to support a dream. It’s about finding a balance. Not to mention, it’s about finding the correct position and company that will allow us to work from home or from abroad.
The fact of the matter is, the corporate environment isn’t limited to offices and water coolers anymore. Our ability to separate ourselves from the ball and chain of a traditional office environment is nothing short of awesome.
Speaking for myself, I spent the weekend skiing. I was able to do so because I live 10-minutes away from the ski area. The principal and COO of the company had eerily similar weekends. Life is good.
For us, each employee has their reasons for supporting themselves outside of an office scenario. For some, it’s about being close to family members. For others, it’s about supporting an active lifestyle inside and outside the office. Some live abroad. But whatever the case, there is a mutual understanding that we need to keep the ball in the air with our respective positions. That’s the slice of the pie that really matters. The means to our ends is taking care of our clients.
Working from home is something that enables us to do what we want. It allows us to maintain a schedule that works for us. Not the other way around. But at the same time, it is a commitment to doing the best work that we can in the time that we’re given.
If you can support a virtual office lifestyle. If you know why it is that you work. Give us a call. We’d love to see if you’re a fit for our team of sales bad@$$es.
