It’s funny sometimes where you can find lucrative relationships. Usually, Mercury stays well out of the B2C space. In other words, with our experienced salespeople we’ve found that our time is usually best spent marketing to an audience with a much higher ticket price and sales cycle in the business to business sales world.
However, recently we tried an experiment with a company who specializes in home restoration. This particular company maintained a list of clients who didn’t show up for a meeting or just plain forgot. Also, they had lists of people who had showed up for an appointment but not bought for any number of reasons.
The goal for us was to set secondary appointments so that our client could get back in the good graces of, and hopefully sell their home improvement solutions.
Over the course of the short program we ended up setting 304 meetings. Of those, the client closed 90 of the appointments into sales. For them, that meant 750K in new business opportunity.
